About the role
We are seeking a motivated Technical Sales Engineer to join a growing Hardox Wearparts team in Muscat. The role blends mechanical engineering expertise with customer‑facing sales activities, helping clients in mining, construction, oil & gas, recycling, cement, and heavy equipment sectors find reliable wear‑resistant steel solutions.
Key responsibilities
- Identify and develop new business opportunities across multiple industries.
- Maintain regular contact with customers and build long‑term relationships.
- Analyse wear problems and recommend appropriate wear‑resistant steel products.
- Interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
- Prepare quotations, proposals, and technical reports.
- Coordinate with fabrication, production, and service teams to ensure smooth project delivery.
- Work with technical partners to provide product support and application guidance.
- Achieve sales targets and contribute to business growth plans.
- Deliver after‑sales support and excellent customer service.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (mandatory).
- Minimum 2 years of experience in sales, technical support, or engineering within industrial or manufacturing environments.
- Good knowledge of steel materials, wear‑resistant products, and fabrication processes.
- Ability to read and understand engineering drawings.
- Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Self‑motivated, confident, and able to work independently as well as in a team.
