Senior Planning Engineer – Construction (Oman)

About the role

The Senior Planning Engineer will lead the development and control of project schedules for newly awarded construction projects in Jardaa, Ash Sharqiyah North. You will work closely with operations, procurement and management to ensure critical paths are understood and managed.

Key responsibilities

• Develop baseline schedules and allocate resources for new projects, ensuring alignment with company standards.
• Monitor progress against the baseline, identify critical issues and provide analysis to senior management.
• Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports and coordinate close‑out documentation.
• Lead weekly client and internal progress meetings, communicating risks, issues and mitigation plans.
• Conduct delay analysis for time‑extension claims, recovery plans and schedule revisions.
• Obtain required approvals for schedule changes and handle special assignments as needed.

Required profile

• Omani residency.
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Mechanical or Architectural Engineering (preferred).
• 7–12 years of experience in project planning or scheduling within the construction sector.
• Strong command of English.
