Tech Lead Payment Systems - Compliance

About the role

Our client, a leading bank in Oman, is looking for a Tech Lead to drive compliance initiatives within its Payment Systems portfolio. The role will oversee issuing and acquiring solutions, ensuring all implementations meet client mandates and regulatory standards over a 6‑12 month fixed‑term contract.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the technical point of contact for payment‑scheme projects and change requests related to compliance and POS mandates.
• Design and execute end‑to‑end integration strategies across issuing, acquiring and third‑party systems, safeguarding data integrity and security.
• Provide architectural governance and ensure adherence to PA‑DSS and other industry best practices.
• Manage technical deliverables, track compliance issues, and coordinate controlled deployments of patches, fixes and updates.
• Collaborate with card business, internal teams and external partners to translate complex compliance requirements into scalable solutions.
• Prepare production go‑live checklists and maintain clear documentation throughout the testing lifecycle.

Required profile

• Proven experience in payment‑systems, particularly issuing and acquiring platforms.
• Strong understanding of domestic card‑scheme architecture and compliance impact analysis.
• Ability to lead cross‑functional teams and manage risk, change and communication.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills with a focus on operational excellence.
