Assistant Manager - Corporate Tax

About the role

We are seeking an Assistant Manager to join our corporate tax team. You will deliver high‑quality tax engagements, maintain client relationships, and support business development across multiple offices.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and deliver tax engagements for manager/partner review within agreed timelines.
• Maintain and grow relationships with existing tax clients and develop new business opportunities.
• Coordinate multi‑office projects, consolidating inputs for senior‑level review.
• Participate in proposal development, pricing, and client interactions throughout the sales cycle.
• Ensure compliance with risk and practice‑management processes, including timesheets, billing, WIP reviews, and engagement closure.
• Lead and mentor junior team members, providing delegation, feedback, and performance management.
• Collaborate with partners/directors on client, risk, and practice‑management decisions.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of corporate and international tax, including dispute resolution and representation before tax authorities.
• Experience in M&A tax work such as due diligence, structuring acquisitions/divestments, and post‑transaction support.
• Basic understanding of transfer pricing, VAT, and related tax matters.
• Proven business‑development and client‑relationship skills.
