Plant General Manager

About the role

The Plant General Manager leads all plant activities to ensure safe, reliable and efficient power and water desalination operations. Reporting to the Vice President/Country Manager, the role is responsible for delivering uninterrupted supply while meeting contractual and financial targets.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute plant strategy aligned with ACWA NOMAC’s Operations & Maintenance objectives.
• Prepare board presentations covering financial performance, warranty issues and operational statistics.
• Manage the plant operating budget, monitor financial performance and drive cost‑optimisation.
• Provide overall direction to operations and maintenance teams, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations.
• Oversee supply‑chain activities, SAP implementation and Integrated Management System certification.

Required profile

• Bachelor degree in Engineering.
• 12‑15 years of experience managing a power and water desalination production plant.

Required skills

• SAP implementation and usage.
• Integrated Management System (IMS) knowledge.
• Production planning expertise.
