Supply Chain Senior Specialist

About the role

The Supply Chain Senior Specialist leads end‑to‑end supply‑chain activities for a power‑plant environment in Oman. You will ensure that procurement, contracting, logistics, warehousing and inventory management are performed efficiently, cost‑effectively and in compliance with company policies.

Key responsibilities

• Lead procurement from requisition to purchase order issuance and contract award for operational, maintenance, outage and project needs.
• Develop and execute sourcing strategies, manage RFQ/RFP/tender processes and conduct commercial evaluations.
• Negotiate contracts, pricing and commercial terms, identifying cost‑saving and value‑engineering opportunities.
• Prepare, review, negotiate and administer supply and service contracts, monitor performance against KPIs and manage renewals, amendments and disputes.
• Build and maintain strategic relationships with key suppliers, evaluate capabilities and lead performance reviews.
• Support capital projects, plant modifications and expansion initiatives by aligning procurement plans with schedules and budgets.
• Coordinate with engineering, operations, maintenance, legal and finance teams to ensure timely delivery of critical equipment and materials.

Required profile

• Proven senior‑level experience in strategic procurement, contract management and supplier relationship management within an industrial or power‑generation setting.
• Strong commercial acumen with a track record of negotiating favorable terms and driving cost optimisation.
• Excellent leadership and stakeholder‑management skills, capable of influencing cross‑functional teams.
• Ability to work under pressure during outages and capital‑project timelines.
