Accountant

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Accountant to join our dynamic team in Muscat, Oman. The role is onsite and focuses on managing core financial operations for our trading business while ensuring compliance with Omani statutory regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial records.
• Handle day‑to‑day accounting operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and bank reconciliations.
• Oversee VAT and tax compliance in accordance with Omani laws.
• Prepare regular financial and management reports with detailed analysis.
• Control AR, AP, and stock ageing, and follow up with customers and suppliers for timely collections and payments.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of accounting experience in a trading or commercial environment.
• Strong knowledge of Omani VAT, tax, and compliance regulations.
• High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and problem‑solving ability.

Required skills

• Proficiency with accounting software such as Tally, SAP, Oracle, or similar.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills for financial reporting.
• Experience with Oracle NetSuite is an advantage.
