Accountant – Muscat

About the role

Arla is looking for an Accountant to join its Oman team, supporting day‑to‑day accounting operations, financial reporting and statutory compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Process supplier and customer invoices, credit notes, collections, payments and journal entries in line with Arla policies.
• Support monthly, quarterly and year‑end closing, including accruals, provisions and intercompany confirmations.
• Prepare and validate balance‑sheet, bank, vendor and customer reconciliations and follow up on ageing items.
• Ensure compliance with Oman VAT, tax requirements, e‑invoicing developments and audit documentation standards.
• Contribute to budgeting, forecasting, cost analysis and management reporting.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or related discipline.
• Strong knowledge of internal controls, approval workflows and Oman statutory practices.
• Proficiency in English; Arabic is a plus.

Required skills

• Microsoft Excel
• ERP experience (SAP or Dynamics 365)
• Power BI or similar digital finance tools
