Accountant – Manufacturing / Factory Accounts

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Accountant to join the finance team of a leading plastic manufacturing company in Muscat. The role focuses on managing the financial operations of the factory, including cost accounting, inventory valuation and financial reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day accounting operations for the manufacturing facility.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements.
• Handle product costing, cost variance analysis and manufacturing cost accounting.
• Monitor inventory transactions, stock valuation and reconcile raw materials, work‑in‑progress and finished goods.
• Post journal entries, maintain general ledger schedules and perform reconciliations.
• Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable and bank reconciliations.
• Produce management reports and provide financial insights for business decisions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• Minimum 10 years of accounting experience with significant exposure to manufacturing or factory accounting.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and communication abilities.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
