Airport Services Supervisor

About the role

SalamAir is looking for an Airport Services Supervisor in Salalah. The supervisor oversees and coordinates Airport Services agents and appointed Ground Handlers so that passengers receive consistent, high-quality service across check-in, boarding, special services, ramp operations and baggage services. The role also ensures the company's commercial and safety standards and procedures are applied consistently, and supports, leads and coaches frontline staff.

Key responsibilities

• Organize the rotation-based allocation of agents to check-in, departures/transfer, ramp or arrivals, and give shift-by-shift briefings.
• Set up the check-in area, allocate desks and manpower correctly, and monitor the work of OV and Ground Handling Agents.
• Monitor passenger flow and queue times, adjust desk allocation as needed, and liaise with immigration, security and terminal management.
• Enforce flight opening and closure times, baggage policies, credit checks and documentation requirements.
• Assist passengers and stakeholders, and help them move through security, immigration and transfer areas, including baggage and flight connections.
• Ensure safe embarkation and disembarkation, and monitor turn-round and baggage handling within safety and security guidelines.
• Help with passenger arrivals and baggage reclaim, and liaise with stakeholders during delays or disruptions.
• Investigate and report irregularities, coach and mentor junior staff, and identify safety risks in line with AOSP Chapter 3.4 and 14.13.
• Carry out any other duties assigned by the line manager.

Required profile

• Diploma or graduate degree from a recognized university, or at least 3 years of experience in ground services functions.
• Good knowledge of ground services functions and operations.
• Team player and team builder with strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Basic computer knowledge.
