Assistant Vice President – Broker Relations

About the role

The Assistant Vice President – Broker Relations will manage and grow Orient Insurance’s broker network across general and medical insurance lines. The role focuses on building strategic broker partnerships, expanding the portfolio, and ensuring seamless coordination with underwriting, finance and internal teams.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and expand the broker portfolio, primarily for General Insurance and other lines.
• Conduct regular strategic meetings with allocated brokers to develop the portfolio.
• Handle renewal management and coordinate with brokers and the Underwriting team.
• Prepare monthly business and performance reports for the line manager.
• Deliver portal presentations and training for brokers on Orient’s product offerings.
• Monitor and analyse broker performance on an ongoing basis.
• Support the Finance Department on credit‑control related issues.
• Maintain excellent rapport with internal and external stakeholders.
• Build a strong pipeline of corporate accounts each quarter.
• Update and maintain all KYC‑related documents for panel brokers.
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory and company processes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s, Master’s or Diploma degree.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a broker relations role.
• Insurance certification is an advantage.
• Excellent communication and people‑management skills.
