Building Delivery Manager

About the role

The Building Delivery Manager will act as the client’s focal point for the safe, timely and quality delivery of project buildings and associated facilities in an on‑shore gas treatment plant in Iraq. This site‑based position requires close coordination with construction, engineering, procurement, HSE, QA/QC and operations teams to ensure seamless handover from design to commissioning.

Key responsibilities

• Provide delivery assurance and supervision of contractors across the full project lifecycle, from engineering and procurement to construction, pre‑commissioning, commissioning and handover.
• Lead weekly multidisciplinary meetings, record decisions, assign owners and track actions to closure.
• Identify and escalate delivery risks, blockers and deviations with factual reporting and recommended corrective actions.
• Maintain a consolidated view of delivery status for assigned buildings, monitoring engineering maturity, procurement readiness, construction progress and quality control.
• Track contractor mobilization, staffing, site organization and work‑face readiness.
• Monitor material availability, equipment delivery and subcontracted scopes that impact site progress.
• Verify implementation of HSE requirements, follow up on observations, incidents and corrective actions.
• Ensure quality compliance, including inspection readiness, NCR management and punch‑list closure.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading large‑scale construction or building delivery projects in the energy or petrochemical sector.
• Strong understanding of HSE standards, QA/QC processes and commissioning procedures.
• Excellent coordination skills with multidisciplinary teams and ability to drive corrective actions.
• Result‑oriented mindset with a focus on schedule protection and handover readiness.
