Site EHS Officer (Omani National)

About the role

Siemens Mobility is hiring a Site EHS Officer to join its team in Oman for the 303 km Abu Dhabi‑Sohar railway project. This position offers a chance to work on one of the largest cross‑country railway projects in the Middle East within an international environment.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the primary contact for health, safety and environmental matters on site, ensuring compliance with Siemens EHS principles, project requirements and local regulations.
• Conduct regular site inspections, identify risks, and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Support ISO 45001 OHS and ISO 14001 EMS implementation and maintenance across the project.
• Prepare detailed EHS reports, maintain performance metrics, and manage incident investigations with root‑cause analysis.
• Monitor subcontractor EHS performance, review Safe Work Method Statements, Risk Assessments and Permit‑to‑Work documentation.
• Deliver safety meetings, toolbox talks, inductions and maintain the EHS training matrix.

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical, Civil or related).
• Omani nationality.
• 3‑5 years of HSE experience in construction, infrastructure or railway projects.
• NEBOSH IGC (Merit) and IOSH Managing Safely certifications.
• Lead Auditor certifications for ISO 45001 and ISO 14001.
• Valid Oman/GCC driving licence.
• Fluency in written and spoken English.
