Business Analyst – Financial Market Infrastructure

About the role

We are building a regulated financial market infrastructure in Oman from the ground up, with a target go‑live in 2027. Two Business Analysts are needed to create, standardise and maintain the massive body of design, process and operational documentation that will drive downstream artefacts such as test plans, training material, runbooks and regulatory submissions.

Key responsibilities

• Produce, structure and maintain delivery documentation including process maps, workflow diagrams, design documents, decision logs, operational procedures, runbook drafts and training materials.
• Ensure documentation consistency across the programme by applying common templates, terminology, structure and version control.
• Act as a skilled user of the Claude AI tool: prompt effectively, iterate on outputs and treat AI‑generated drafts as a basis for refinement.
• Identify AI‑driven efficiencies, e.g., generating test plans from design documents or training material from runbooks.
• Map target‑state processes in collaboration with product owners, operations leads and other business owners.
• Maintain the programme RAID log and support the Project Manager with plan maintenance, dependency tracking and status reporting.
• Generate test artefacts (test plans, cases, data requirements, traceability matrices) from upstream design documentation.
• Absorb domain knowledge about clearing‑settlement‑depository (CSD) operations, settlement flows, registry maintenance, corporate actions and regulator requirements.

Required profile

• Minimum three years of experience as a business analyst, process analyst or in a documentation‑heavy role, preferably within financial services or another regulated industry.
• Strong ability to translate verbal discussions into clear, structured written output; comfortable white‑boarding from scratch in a green‑field environment.
• Fast learner who can quickly acquire and accurately apply new domain knowledge.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Claude (AI productivity tool) for documentation generation and refinement.
