Chef de Cuisine – Greek Restaurant

About the role

The Chef de Cuisine will lead the kitchen of a Greek restaurant in Al Mouj, Muscat. You will be accountable for the quality, consistency and overall production of all food items while driving guest satisfaction and managing the operating budget.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise daily kitchen operations, ensuring compliance with all Food & Beverage policies, sanitation standards and local regulations.
• Plan and manage food quantities, plating requirements and seasonal menu development.
• Oversee purchasing, inventory control and proper storage of ingredients.
• Prepare and cook a wide range of dishes, including special guest functions, while maintaining high standards of flavor and presentation.
• Lead, train and motivate kitchen staff, covering duties in their absence and fostering a collaborative environment.
• Monitor production needs, estimate daily output and communicate requirements to key personnel.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED with at least 4 years of culinary experience, or a 2‑year degree in Culinary Arts/Hotel & Restaurant Management with at least 2 years of experience.
• Proven ability to manage a kitchen team and maintain budgetary control.
• Strong knowledge of food safety, handling, and temperature control standards.
