Chief Executive Officer (CEO) – Investment Platform

About the role

This senior executive position offers the opportunity to lead a diversified investment portfolio and expand direct investment, fund management and co‑investment activities. The CEO is fully accountable for financial, investment and operational performance, strategy execution and delivering sustainable returns to shareholders and investors.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute the company’s strategy, annual business plan, budget and Balanced Scorecard, with full P&L responsibility and capital allocation.
• Originate, evaluate, structure, negotiate and execute private equity, greenfield and income‑generating investment opportunities.
• Lead fund management and co‑investment platform activities, building partnerships with institutional and sovereign investors.
• Oversee active portfolio management, represent portfolio companies to their boards, and drive growth, performance improvement and transformation initiatives.
• Manage restructurings, refinancing, distressed investments, settlements and contractual disputes to protect capital.
• Design and implement exit and monetisation strategies, redeploying capital into approved growth opportunities.
• Represent the company at ministerial level, with shareholders, boards and partners, strengthening relationships with the Oman Investment Authority and Future Fund Oman.
• Build and retain a high‑performing leadership team, fostering a culture of accountability, governance and risk management.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline; MBA or professional qualifications such as CFA, ACA, ACCA or CPA preferred.
• Minimum 15 years of progressive investment or financial sector experience, including at least 5 years in a senior executive investment‑management role.
• Proven end‑to‑end investment track record across origination, structuring, execution, value creation and exit.
• Experience establishing or developing funds, business units or investment platforms and working with institutional and sovereign investors.
• Strong executive presence with ability to communicate and negotiate at ministerial, board and senior‑executive levels.
• Unquestionable integrity, independent judgement and ability to provide clear, candid recommendations to the Board.
