Chief Financial Officer (CFO) – Mining & Environmental Services

About the role

The company, an Oman‑based mining and environmental services firm, is entering a rapid growth phase and needs a senior finance leader to drive financial strategy, project finance and governance across multiple projects. Reporting to the CEO and Board, the CFO will ensure each project is financially viable, well funded and aligned with long‑term objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and lead the overall financial strategy, advising the Board on capital allocation, project prioritisation and investment decisions.
• Build and scale a finance function capable of supporting a project‑based organisation, establishing policies, processes and reporting frameworks.
• Lead financial planning, modelling and analysis for new and existing projects, including CAPEX, OPEX, cash‑flow forecasts and sensitivity scenarios.
• Monitor project performance, provide early warnings on budget overruns, funding gaps or cost escalations.
• Oversee annual budgeting, rolling forecasts and long‑range financial planning, managing company‑wide cash flow and working capital.
• Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting in compliance with accounting standards and tax requirements.

Required profile

• Extensive senior finance experience, preferably in mining, extractive or heavy‑industry environments.
• Proven track record in project finance, large‑scale budgeting and cash‑flow management.
• Strong commercial acumen with the ability to influence senior stakeholders, shareholders and lenders.
• Demonstrated leadership in building finance teams and implementing robust governance structures.
