Chief Financial Officer – Mining & Environmental Services

About the role

The company, an Oman‑based mining and environmental services firm, is entering a rapid growth phase and seeks a senior finance leader to drive financial strategy, project finance and governance across multiple projects.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute the financial strategy aligned with growth plans, project pipeline and shareholder objectives.
• Lead financial planning, budgeting, forecasting and cash‑flow management for the whole organization and individual projects.
• Build and scale a finance function capable of supporting a project‑based business, establishing policies, processes and reporting frameworks.
• Prepare and maintain detailed project financial models covering CAPEX, OPEX, working capital, commodity pricing and financing costs.
• Monitor project performance, provide early warnings on budget overruns, funding gaps or delays, and recommend corrective actions.
• Oversee accurate monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting and ensure compliance with accounting standards and governance requirements.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in senior finance roles, preferably within mining, natural resources or heavy‑industry environments.
• Proven track record in project finance, financial modelling and large‑scale budgeting.
• Strong commercial acumen with the ability to work closely with boards, CEOs, lenders, auditors and external advisors.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to influence senior stakeholders.
