Chiller Technician

About the role

The Chiller Technician is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing commercial and industrial chiller systems. The role ensures equipment operates safely, efficiently, and reliably while delivering high‑quality customer service.

Key responsibilities

• Perform planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and respond to dispatched customer requests.
• Diagnose and repair system malfunctions, manage refrigerant charges, and conduct pressure/leak checks in compliance with environmental standards.
• Read and interpret chiller electrical schematics and technical manuals.
• Document work completed, maintain accurate service reports, and communicate effectively with customers on site.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience with commercial/industrial chiller systems.
• Valid driving licence and ability to work onsite.
• Strong focus on safety, use of PPE, and adherence to environmental regulations.

Required skills

• Understanding of the refrigeration cycle.
• Chilled‑water distribution knowledge.
• Refrigerant recovery and charge management.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and technical manuals.
• Planned preventative maintenance (PPM) execution.
