Procurement Manager

About the role

We are seeking an experienced and commercially driven Procurement Manager to join a well‑established industrial organization in Muscat, Oman. The role focuses on strategic sourcing, supplier management and cost optimisation within the industrial manufacturing or chemical sector.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end‑to‑end procurement activities including sourcing, RFQs, quotation evaluation, purchase orders and delivery coordination.
• Develop procurement strategies to ensure cost‑effective and timely availability of materials, equipment, spare parts and services.
• Identify, evaluate and negotiate with local and international suppliers and lead contract negotiations.
• Drive cost‑saving initiatives, budget control and purchasing efficiency.
• Oversee technical procurement of industrial equipment, machinery spare parts, chemicals and maintenance materials.
• Coordinate international procurement, import documentation, logistics and inventory planning.
• Ensure compliance, maintain accurate records and monitor procurement KPIs.
• Collaborate with Maintenance, Production, Stores, Finance and other departments.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant procurement or supply chain experience, preferably in chemical manufacturing, industrial plants or petrochemicals.
• Previous supervisory or managerial experience is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of international purchasing, import procedures, Incoterms and inventory management.
• Excellent negotiation, analytical and stakeholder management skills.
