Civil Engineer

About the role

WSP is seeking a Civil Engineer to lead and supervise construction projects from concept through delivery. The role combines project management, site supervision, and design coordination to ensure projects meet design specifications, safety standards, and schedule commitments.

Key responsibilities

• Manage civil engineering projects, developing plans, schedules and budgets while monitoring adherence to timelines and cost targets.
• Conduct regular site visits to track progress, quality, and safety, providing technical guidance and resolving on‑site issues.
• Review and validate designs, specifications and drawings, offering input to optimise construction methods and material selection.
• Implement QA/QC procedures, perform inspections and tests, and document non‑conformities for timely resolution.
• Collaborate with architects, structural engineers and other disciplines, fostering effective communication and teamwork.
• Mentor junior engineers and site staff, supporting their professional development.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or a related field (Master’s preferred).
• Professional Engineer (PE) license or eligibility for licensure.
• Proven experience in civil engineering with a focus on site management and construction.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials and techniques.

Required skills

• Proficiency with AutoCAD or similar design tools.
• Experience using project management software.
