Commis Baker – Luxury Resort

About the role

We are seeking a motivated Commis Baker to join the culinary team at Six Senses Zighy Bay, a luxury resort dedicated to sustainability, wellness and unique guest experiences. In this entry‑level position you will support the bakery operations, ensuring high‑quality baked goods are produced and presented in line with our brand standards.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare doughs, batters and pastry mixes according to production schedules.
• Shape, roll, cut and bake a variety of breads, rolls, tarts, cookies and other pastries.
• Prepare fruit fillings, icings and decorative toppings, and finish cakes and pastries with appropriate garnishes.
• Maintain stock levels at line stations and ensure all equipment and work areas are clean and functional.
• Adhere to portion sizes, cooking methods, hygiene, fire safety and Six Senses quality guidelines.
• Assist in any kitchen section during busy periods or staff shortages.
• Complete operational reports and communicate any maintenance issues.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent; hospitality diploma or degree preferred.
• 1‑3 years of experience in a full‑service kitchen or similar bakery environment.
• Understanding of menu concepts, portion control and guest‑focused service.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety.
