Commissioning Engineer – Renewable Energy/Power Generation (10 months)

About the role

SEGULA Technologies Middle East is seeking an experienced Commissioning Engineer to lead the commissioning, testing and final acceptance of a utility‑scale renewable‑energy and power generation project in Duqm, Oman. The role is for a 10‑month fixed‑term contract starting January 2027 and involves close collaboration with electrical, mechanical and construction teams.

Key responsibilities

• Witness equipment and system start‑up tests and monitor commissioning activities.
• Conduct reliability‑run and performance testing, verify acceptance criteria and review test results.
• Coordinate interfaces between electrical, mechanical and construction disciplines.
• Manage punch‑list items, ensure closure of technical issues and support system hand‑over.
• Review and update commissioning procedures, test documentation and acceptance records.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 8 years of commissioning experience on power, renewable‑energy or large industrial projects.
• Proven experience with equipment start‑up, reliability runs, performance testing and acceptance verification.
• Strong knowledge of commissioning documentation and acceptance procedures.
• Renewable‑energy project experience is highly desirable.
