Construction General Manager – Lead Large‑Scale Projects

About the role

The Construction General Manager is responsible for the safe and efficient delivery of all construction activities, covering both on‑site works and modular facilities fabricated off‑site. The role ensures seamless integration of fabrication, transportation and installation to meet project schedule, cost, quality and operational readiness objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage all construction phases from planning through commissioning and handover.
• Develop execution strategies, schedules, budgets and resource plans.
• Direct contractors, subcontractors, suppliers and internal construction teams.
• Provide construction input during engineering, procurement and project planning.
• Oversee site construction, installation, testing, pre‑commissioning and commissioning activities.
• Ensure compliance with HSE regulations, quality standards and industry best practices.
• Monitor progress against schedule, budget and performance targets, identifying risks and implementing mitigations.
• Manage interfaces between engineering, procurement, logistics and project teams.
• Supervise off‑site fabrication, transportation and installation where applicable.
• Conduct regular site inspections and review contractor performance.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 12 years of experience in construction, industrial, infrastructure, energy or EPC projects.
• Proven track record managing large‑scale construction projects from planning through commissioning.
• Strong background in contractor management, project execution, construction planning and site leadership.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple stakeholders, budgets, risks and schedules.
• Excellent leadership, communication and problem‑solving abilities.
