Country Manager – International Business Development

About the role

The Company is seeking an experienced Country Manager to lead international business development across solar EPC, transmission line and transformer projects. You will own the country portfolio, drive growth, and represent the firm with key government and industry stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Own and grow the order book for solar EPC, transmission line and transformer business lines, building a qualified pipeline aligned with corporate strategy.
• Track and pursue solar IPP tenders and transmission/transformer opportunities, cultivating relationships with EPC contractors, financiers and consortium partners.
• Lead techno‑commercial proposal development, consortium structuring and contract negotiations, coordinating with India‑based engineering, procurement and finance teams.
• Act as the primary liaison with government bodies, manage local sponsors and joint‑venture partners, and represent the Company at regional industry forums.
• Own country‑level revenue targets, monitor project risk, payment security and compliance, and report performance to senior leadership.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Civil Engineering or Business Administration; MBA preferred.
• 15‑20 years of experience in international solar EPC or power infrastructure business development, including at least 5 years in the target country or region.
• Deep knowledge of solar EPC, transmission line and transformer/substation project cycles, tendering processes and contract structures.
• Proven track record of stakeholder management with government agencies, utilities and private developers, with strong negotiation and consortium‑building capabilities.
