Cyber Security Lead

About the role

The Cyber Security Lead will protect a new financial‑market infrastructure platform from cyber threats. You will design the security architecture from scratch during the build phase and then operate, monitor, and continuously improve the security estate once the platform is live.

Key responsibilities

• Design end‑to‑end security architecture, including identity & access management, encryption at rest and in transit, network and endpoint controls, and the monitoring & detection stack.
• Build and run security monitoring, set detection rules, and conduct threat‑hunting exercises.
• Own identity, privileged access, and encryption to meet regulated‑financial‑platform standards.
• Manage the vulnerability management lifecycle, coordinate penetration testing, and drive remediation.
• Lead full‑cycle incident response from detection through containment, recovery, and post‑incident review.
• Define the run‑phase security operating model, author playbooks, and build and lead the security team.

Required profile

• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Security or related field.
• Minimum ten years of experience in cyber and information security, with end‑to‑end ownership of a mission‑critical, regulated platform.
• Proven experience designing security capability for financial services, capital markets, payments or similar infrastructure.
• Deep expertise in security monitoring, threat detection, SOC management and incident response.
• Strong knowledge of identity & access management, privileged access and encryption for regulated environments.
• Hands‑on technical credibility and sound judgement during live incidents.
• Fluent written and spoken English.
