Data Analyst – Operations Control

About the role

Join a new financial markets infrastructure venture in Oman, building a greenfield post‑trade platform. As a Data Analyst in Operations Control you will help establish data management, validation and governance processes that are critical to the platform’s operational integrity.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and validate reference data such as instruments, participants, accounts, calendars and settlement banks.
• Process and document reference data amendments through approved change‑control procedures.
• Verify published market data, including post‑trade transparency data and rates, before release.
• Validate external market data sources, ensuring proper licensing and quality checks.
• Support the development and implementation of data governance frameworks, defining ownership and quality standards.
• Identify data duplication, investigate quality issues and escalate exceptions to the Head of Operations Control.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Finance, Mathematics, Statistics or a related field.
• 0‑2 years of experience in data analysis, reference data management or operations within financial markets or a regulated environment.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and attention‑to‑detail abilities.
• Fluent written and spoken English.

Required skills

• Proficiency with spreadsheets.
• Experience using database query tools.
• Ability to work with reporting applications for data validation and reconciliation.
