Data Analyst – Pipeline Integrity (Oman)

About the role

PIPECARE is looking for a Data Analyst to support its pipeline integrity programmes in Oman. The role focuses on analysing in‑line inspection (ILI) data, identifying obstructions, and delivering accurate technical reports that drive maintenance and repair decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Check and approve tool performance during PTT runs.
• Validate data quality of ILI, caliper, MFL, and TFI runs.
• Perform dig‑verification tasks and prepare related reports.
• Review software interfaces, user manuals and DAD quality documentation.
• Provide accurate tool sensitivity values and prepare run‑assessment reports.
• Identify pipeline obstructions and produce preliminary/final technical reports.
• Synchronise coordinates with data and alert R&D of software issues.
• Update standard quality procedures and documentation.
• Execute additional tasks as directed by the Data Analyst Team Leader or Manager.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, technology or a related field (e.g., GIS, petrochemical, pipeline integrity).
• Certification in ILI (ASNT‑PQ L2 or L3) or ability to obtain it.
• Experience presenting reports and delivering software training to clients.
• Strong analytical mindset with excellent written and verbal communication.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Access.
• Experience using analytical tools such as Minitab and SPSS.
• Database development, implementation and quality assurance.
• Ability to work with large, complex datasets and generate technical documentation.
