Delicatessen Team Leader

About the role

The Delicatessen Team Leader drives quality, freshness and range standards within the hypermarket’s delicatessen department, ensuring an exceptional customer experience while meeting sales targets.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the delicatessen department, guaranteeing high‑quality product presentation and constant availability.
• Manage product assortment, pricing and promotional activities to support sales growth and company objectives.
• Monitor inventory levels, coordinate replenishment orders and ensure timely receipt of deliveries.
• Control stock losses, waste and shrinkage while maintaining product freshness and quality.
• Ensure all displays, labels and pricing are accurate and comply with merchandising guidelines.
• Maintain strict food safety, hygiene and security procedures throughout the department.
• Supervise, coach and evaluate team members to deliver efficient operations and outstanding customer service.
• Review customer satisfaction results and departmental performance metrics to identify improvement opportunities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of supervisory experience in a delicatessen, food retail or supermarket environment.
• Strong understanding of food preparation, product presentation and food safety standards.
• Experience in inventory management, merchandising and promotional execution.
• Effective leadership and customer‑service abilities with a talent for motivating and developing teams.
