Deputy Manager Legal – Healthcare

About the role

Our client, a leading multi‑specialty hospital group in Oman, is seeking a Deputy Manager – Legal to provide comprehensive legal support across the organization. The role involves managing legal and compliance matters, reviewing and negotiating contracts, advising management on regulatory requirements, and mitigating legal risks in a healthcare environment.

Key responsibilities

• Provide legal advice and support to management on corporate, commercial, operational, and regulatory matters.
• Monitor legal and regulatory developments and assess their impact on business operations.
• Draft, review, negotiate and manage a wide range of agreements, including service, vendor, NDAs, consultancy, facility management, employment, commercial agreements and MOUs.
• Support the implementation of corporate governance frameworks and coordinate with external legal advisors and regulatory authorities.
• Manage legal notices, disputes, claims and litigation matters, coordinating with external counsel.
• Ensure compliance with Ministry of Health regulations, licensing, accreditation and handle medico‑legal issues.
• Conduct legal risk assessments for initiatives, contracts and processes, and support compliance audits.
• Collaborate with HR, Finance, Procurement, Operations and Medical Services on legal matters and deliver legal awareness training.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Law (LLB); LLM or legal/compliance certifications are a plus.
• 8–12 years of post‑qualification legal experience, preferably as Legal Counsel, Legal Manager or similar.
• Experience in healthcare, hospitals, pharmaceuticals, insurance or other highly regulated industries is advantageous.
• Prior experience in GCC/Middle East markets is an added advantage.
