Director of Governance and Compliance

About the role

The leading wealth and investment fund based in Muscat is seeking a senior professional to head its Governance and Compliance function. This role will shape, implement and continuously improve the fund’s governance and compliance frameworks in line with international standards and local regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, maintain and enhance corporate governance policies and compliance procedures.
• Ensure ongoing adherence to regulatory requirements, international best practices and internal policies.
• Lead, mentor and grow a dedicated compliance team.
• Drive cultural change to embed a strong compliance mindset across the organisation.
• Collaborate with senior management and external regulators on governance matters.

Required profile

• Minimum 15 years of experience in the investment industry.
• Proven senior management experience, including leading and mentoring compliance teams.
• Demonstrated ability to design and implement compliance frameworks and drive cultural change.
• Experience working in Gulf States is highly preferred.
• Fluent Arabic language skills are essential.
