Duty Manager – Russian Speaking

About the role

Mandarin Oriental, Muscat is seeking a Duty Manager who is fluent in Russian and English to oversee daily hotel operations during assigned shifts. The role ensures exceptional guest experiences, coordinates across departments, and upholds the luxury standards of the Mandarin Oriental brand.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver personalized service to all guests, handling concerns, requests and escalated issues.
• Act as the primary point of contact for Russian‑speaking, VIP and long‑stay guests.
• Conduct regular inspections of rooms, public areas and operational facilities to maintain impeccable standards.
• Coordinate activities between Front Office, Housekeeping, Engineering, Food & Beverage, Spa and Security.
• Manage arrivals, departures, operational incidents and service recovery measures.
• Lead shift briefings, coach team members and promote a positive work environment.
• Support sales and guest‑relations initiatives targeting Russian‑speaking markets.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, security and emergency procedures.

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Tourism, Business Administration or related field.
• 3‑5 years of experience in luxury hotel operations or front‑office management, preferably as a Duty Manager or Assistant Front Office Manager.
• Fluent in Russian and English, both spoken and written.
• Strong leadership, decision‑making and conflict‑resolution abilities.
• Excellent guest‑relations and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure.
