About the role
We are seeking an experienced Application Support Analyst specialized in eChannel platforms to join the IT function of a leading bank in Oman. The role ensures stability, availability, and performance of enterprise and banking applications while providing L2/L3 support.
Key responsibilities
- Provide L2/L3 application support for enterprise and banking applications.
- Monitor application performance, system health, availability, and data integrity.
- Investigate incidents, perform root cause analysis, and resolve issues within agreed SLAs.
- Coordinate with infrastructure teams, vendors, and internal stakeholders to resolve complex issues.
- Support deployments, upgrades, patches, enhancements, and release activities.
- Participate in testing and implementation of system changes while minimizing disruption.
- Monitor integrations and data flows using APIs, middleware, and interface monitoring tools.
- Collaborate with business users to translate functional requirements into technical solutions.
- Participate in disaster recovery exercises and business continuity activities.
- Maintain documentation and records in line with IT governance and bank policies.
Required profile
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology or related field.
- Minimum 4 years of experience in application support or enterprise systems.
- Experience supporting banking applications, eChannel platforms, or digital banking solutions.
- Strong understanding of application monitoring, incident management, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis.
- Knowledge of ITIL‑based incident, problem, change, and release management processes.
