Emerging Markets Equities Fund Manager

About the role

A highly regarded asset management firm in Muscat is seeking an experienced Emerging Markets Equities Fund Manager to join its investment team. The role involves ownership of global emerging market equity portfolios, client mandates, and contributing to fund development and fundraising initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and oversee global emerging market equity funds and discretionary client mandates.
• Develop and implement investment strategies aimed at superior long‑term performance.
• Execute investment transactions across equity and related financial instruments.
• Monitor portfolio performance, risk exposures, and market developments.
• Generate high‑conviction investment ideas and actionable research insights.
• Collaborate with research analysts, traders, and investment professionals.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Liaise with fund administration teams on operational processes.
• Build and maintain relationships with institutional and high‑net‑worth clients.
• Lead fundraising and business development initiatives.
• Prepare investor presentations, marketing materials, and performance reports.
• Support the design, launch, and development of new investment products.
• Mentor junior investment professionals.

Required profile

• Minimum 7 years of experience in fund management, portfolio management, or a related investment role.
• Proven track record managing public market investment funds, specifically emerging market equity portfolios.
• Experience with onshore and offshore investment structures.
• Strong understanding of global capital markets, foreign exchange, and related instruments.
• Experience engaging directly with institutional clients and investors.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Risk Management, or a related discipline.
• CFA designation or progress towards CFA qualification is highly desirable.
