Environmental Engineer

About the role

The Environmental Engineer will lead environmental inspections across project sites, ensuring compliance with CEMP specifications, waste management, carbon footprint calculations and relevant regulations. The role also supports HSE guidance, incident investigations and emergency response activities.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct environmental inspections on various project sites.
• Ensure adherence to CEMP specifications, mitigation control plans, waste management, carbon footprint/emissions calculations, and applicable regulations.
• Deliver training and awareness sessions on environment‑related procedures and standards.
• Perform project and department audits in line with ISO 14001 and legal requirements.
• Assist in investigating environmental incidents, identifying root causes and recommending corrective actions.
• Support the emergency response team for site and project incidents.
• Provide HSE guidance to line management on all HSE matters.
• Assess HSE impacts on scope, schedule and strategy, and review project FRA’s.
• Monitor HSE observation close‑out status and prepare weekly and monthly KPI reports.
• Screen and interview potential subcontractors for HSE personnel qualifications and competency.
