About the role
The Food & Beverage (F&B) Cashier is responsible for processing guest orders, handling payments and delivering a high level of customer service in restaurant or hotel outlets. Accuracy, attention to detail and a friendly attitude are essential to ensure smooth transactions and guest satisfaction.
Key responsibilities
- Accurately process guest orders for food and beverages.
- Receive and record payments (cash, credit/debit cards, other methods) and provide correct change.
- Generate itemised bills and receipts, verifying completeness and accuracy.
- Maintain and balance cash registers at the end of each shift.
- Greet guests, answer questions, assist with menu selections and address any concerns.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the cashier area and restock supplies as needed.
- Collaborate with the F&B team to ensure prompt and accurate service.
- Follow cash‑handling procedures, financial regulations and hotel health, safety and environmental policies.
Required profile
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in cash handling.
- Excellent customer‑service orientation with a friendly, professional demeanor.
- Good understanding of menu items, ingredients and preparation methods.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced hospitality environment.
Required skills
- Cash register operation and basic POS system usage.
