Engineering Supervisor

About the role

We are looking for an Engineering Supervisor to lead the hotel engineering team at Crowne Plaza Resort Salalah. The role ensures safe, efficient and reliable operation of all engineering systems while maintaining high standards of preventive maintenance, guest service and safety.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise daily activities of the engineering team and ensure maintenance requests are completed to standard.
• Monitor, operate, troubleshoot and maintain centralized chilled-water systems, chillers, HVAC equipment, pumps, air-handling units (AHUs) and fan-coil units (FCUs).
• Carry out and oversee planned preventive maintenance and reactive maintenance across the property.
• Conduct regular inspections of plant rooms, guest rooms, public areas and back-of-house facilities.
• Respond promptly to engineering-related guest and operational requests, minimizing equipment downtime.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, equipment logs and work-order documentation.
• Support energy-conservation and sustainability initiatives by monitoring equipment performance.
• Coordinate with other hotel departments to address engineering requirements promptly.

Required profile

• Diploma or equivalent vocational certification in Air-Conditioning & Refrigeration (AC&R), Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of engineering/maintenance experience in the Middle East, preferably in a supervisory or senior technician role.
• Previous hotel engineering experience is an advantage.
• Strong practical knowledge of centralized chilled-water systems and chillers.
• Ability to diagnose technical problems and implement corrective actions.
• Good communication, organizational and team-supervision skills.
