Field Specialist – Drilling & Completion Fluids

About the role

Baker Hughes is seeking an experienced Drilling & Completion Fluids Engineer to join its Drilling Fluids business. The Field Specialist will deliver on‑site engineering services, ensuring fluid systems operate safely and efficiently for customers across multiple geographies.

Key responsibilities

• Provide on‑site services by measuring, testing, and supervising fluid mixing and pumping operations.
• Maintain fluid properties at rig sites through accurate testing and adjustments.
• Manage inventory of fluids and related consumables at customer well sites.
• Deliver effective customer service, keeping rig‑site customers informed and solving problems.
• Apply training in lost circulation prevention and stuck‑pipe remediation.
• Conduct field‑level sales calls or accompany sales representatives.
• Support operations by delivering environmentally safe drilling fluids.
• Ensure all activities comply with Baker Hughes policies.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant engineering discipline.
• 3–5 years of experience with drilling and completion fluids.
• Basic product line knowledge and demonstrated industry experience.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Willingness to work flexible arrangements as discussed during interview.
