Finance & Accounting Specialist

About the role

We are looking for a detail‑oriented Finance & Accounting Specialist to support our growing online marketplace and e‑commerce business. In this full‑time role you will ensure accurate financial reporting, maintain compliance with tax regulations, and provide data‑driven insights for strategic decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the complete accounting cycle, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and inventory management.
• Reconcile bank and credit‑card statements regularly and accurately.
• Prepare financial statements (balance sheet, income statement, cash‑flow) and performance reports.
• Stay current with Omani tax laws and ensure full compliance for marketplace and e‑commerce operations.
• Collaborate with management to analyse financial data, identify trends, and recommend profitability improvements.
• Utilise accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Zoho Books) to automate processes and maintain efficiency.
• Work with the sales team to ensure timely collection of invoices and receivables.
• Analyse competitor pricing and industry trends to support pricing strategy.

Required profile

• Minimum 1 year of accounting experience in online or e‑commerce environments.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and Omani accounting regulations.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks and maintain meticulous attention to detail.
• Prior experience in a tax or accounting firm is a plus.
