Finance Controller – Oman

About the role

The Finance Controller will lead the end‑to‑end finance function for OFT Oman, ensuring accurate reporting, regulatory compliance, and strong financial governance. This position reports directly to the Country Head and is open to Omani candidates only.

Key responsibilities

• Manage daily accounting activities, including payment processing, bank reconciliations and recording transactions in Odoo ERP.
• Oversee revenue accounting, cost of sales, and operating expense control.
• Lead month‑end close, prepare trial balances, perform balance‑sheet reconciliations and upload financials to Cognos.
• Prepare and maintain budget‑vs‑actual trackers, conduct P&L and gross‑margin analysis, and update cash‑flow forecasts.
• Ensure compliance with Omani tax regulations, handle VAT filings, and coordinate with external tax consultants.
• Liaise with external auditors for statutory audits and agreed‑upon procedures.
• Prepare regulatory reports, including financial statements and capital adequacy submissions.

Required profile

• Omani nationality.
• Proven experience in finance or accounting functions, including month‑end closing and audit coordination.
• Strong understanding of local regulatory requirements such as VAT and withholding tax.
