Finance Director – Muscat

About the role

We are seeking a Finance Director to join a leading organization in Muscat, Oman. The role provides financial leadership, strategic guidance and ensures compliance with IFRS, local regulations and group standards. You will act as a trusted business partner to country management, influencing commercial, operational and financial decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Lead all accounting, financial reporting and control activities in line with Group standards.
• Oversee balance‑sheet management, P&L, cash‑flow, accruals, pre‑payments and account reconciliations.
• Deliver detailed business performance analysis and recommend corrective actions.
• Drive budgeting, forecasting and financial planning in collaboration with regional teams.
• Manage tax reporting, submissions and optimisation strategies under Omani law.
• Support commercial teams on tenders, costing, pricing and contract reviews, identifying financial, legal and tax risks.
• Lead a finance team of four, and coordinate with the Shared Service Center and key stakeholders.

Required profile

• Degree in Finance, Accounting or related field; professional qualification (CMA, CA, ICWAI) preferred.
• 7‑10 years progressive finance experience, including 3‑4 years in senior leadership (Finance Director/Manager).
• International exposure and strong business partnering experience.
• Fluent in English; Arabic is a plus.
• Willingness to travel to project sites and remote locations within Oman.
