Formation Evaluation Geoscientist

About the role

Baker Hughes, a global energy technology company, is looking for a Formation Evaluation Geoscientist. The role is described internally as Engineer 1, Geoscience & Petroleum, Disciplinary Engineering and Science, and involves applying technical and business knowledge to support well construction and production projects.

Key responsibilities

• Play a supporting role through individual and team assignments, working with cross-functional and cross-discipline teams.
• Apply system engineering methodologies such as requirements definition, system architecture and integration, analysis, configuration management and risk management in the design phase of products.
• Engage with customers during product definition and requirements gathering for bids and proposals.
• Deliver technically and commercially sound products or services, guiding teams from project inception to delivery and meeting project goals.
• Coordinate expertise across engineering and science disciplines across the technology project portfolio, ensuring rigor in design and development.
• Ensure the right personnel skills and expertise are available across the organization for the discipline.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Geoscience or Petroleum Engineering.
• At least 3 years of experience in geoscience and formation evaluation petrophysics.
• Experience as a field engineer or specialist in wireline and LWD formation evaluation (preferred).
• Able to coordinate several projects at once.
