Groups & Events Sales Manager – Oman & UAE

About the role

Mandarin Oriental Muscat is seeking a dynamic Groups & Events Sales Manager to lead proactive sales across Oman and the UAE. The role focuses on developing local corporate and international accounts, driving group bookings, and managing events from inquiry to contract execution.

Key responsibilities

• Drive proactive sales for group bookings and events across Oman and the UAE.
• Develop and manage a portfolio of local and regional corporate accounts.
• Generate new business opportunities and maintain existing relationships through regular sales calls, meetings, and presentations.
• Handle group inquiries from quotation to contract execution, ensuring smooth hand‑over to operations.
• Coordinate MICE business using platforms such as CVENT, Lanyon, and other RFP tools.
• Establish relationships with international embassies, consulates, and government institutions for group and event opportunities.
• Collaborate with internal departments to ensure client satisfaction and successful event execution.
• Track and report on sales performance metrics and forecasts.

Required profile

• Proven experience in group sales and corporate account management within the UAE hospitality or events sector.
• Strong knowledge of the corporate, groups, and events market.
• Hands‑on experience with MICE business and RFP platforms such as CVENT and Lanyon.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
• Ability to work independently, generate leads, and close deals.
• Fluency in English; additional languages are a plus.
