Head Chef – Seafood

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Head Chef specialized in seafood to lead the culinary operations of a prominent hospitality group in Muscat, Oman. The role focuses on creating innovative, seasonal seafood menus while maintaining the highest standards of quality, safety, and guest satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, develop, and execute a creative, seasonal seafood‑focused menu.
• Supervise, train, and mentor all kitchen staff, including sous chefs, line cooks, and prep team.
• Ensure consistent food quality, taste, and presentation across all dishes.
• Monitor and manage kitchen inventory, seafood freshness, and quality.
• Oversee preparation, cooking, plating, and timely delivery of dishes.
• Control food costs, waste, and portion sizes.
• Enforce strict hygiene standards and HACCP compliance.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Hotel Management, Food Science, or a related field.
• Minimum 10 years of culinary experience, preferably in Arabic cuisine within the Gulf region.
• In‑depth knowledge of seafood varieties, global seafood cuisines, and fish butchery.
• Strong expertise in shellfish preparation, grilling, and raw‑bar operations.
• Proven leadership, time‑management, and communication abilities.
• Preferred language skills: Turkish and Arabic.
