Head of Business Development & Research

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Head of Business Development & Research to lead our investment strategy, portfolio management, and research functions in Muscat, Oman. This senior position will shape growth initiatives, oversee financial analysis, and mentor a high‑performing team.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute the Business Development & Research strategy.
• Lead investment research, financial modelling, and equity valuation.
• Monitor portfolio performance and provide strategic recommendations to senior leadership.
• Identify new business opportunities and support investment decision‑making.
• Prepare executive reports, presentations, and investment recommendations.
• Build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a multidisciplinary team of investment and research professionals.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, Investment Management or related field (MBA preferred).
• Minimum 15 years of experience in investment management, corporate finance, private equity, sovereign wealth funds, asset management or strategic investment.
• Proven track record leading business development, research, and portfolio management functions.
• Strong commercial acumen and ability to evaluate investment opportunities.
• Excellent communication skills in English; Arabic is a plus.
