Head of Investment Strategy & Research

About the role

This senior position leads the investment strategy and research function for a prestigious government‑owned investment organisation in Oman. Reporting to senior leadership, you will shape capital deployment, evaluate opportunities and drive long‑term value creation aligned with Oman Vision 2040.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and assess investment opportunities across key Omani sectors.
• Conduct financial modelling, valuation, feasibility studies and investment appraisals.
• Perform commercial, financial and strategic due diligence.
• Develop investment strategies and business cases for executive decision‑making.
• Monitor portfolio performance and recommend value‑creation initiatives.
• Analyse market trends, economic developments and sector opportunities.
• Prepare investment reports and presentations for senior management.
• Build relationships with government entities, investors and strategic partners.
• Support acquisitions, joint ventures, partnerships and other strategic initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Accounting or related field.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in investment management, advisory, corporate finance, private equity, investment banking, sovereign wealth funds or asset management.
• Strong commercial acumen and stakeholder management skills.
• Deep understanding of the Omani investment landscape and growth sectors.
