Head of Treasury

About the role

We are seeking a strategic finance leader to head treasury functions for a leading international shipping company in Muscat. You will manage liquidity, funding, and risk across global operations, directly influencing the company’s financial strategy.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee cash flow management across international operations, ensuring liquidity aligns with operational and strategic needs.
• Manage banking relationships locally and internationally, negotiate credit facilities, and optimise financial service agreements.
• Develop and implement funding strategies (debt, equity, internal financing) to support shipping operations and investments.
• Identify and mitigate financial risks related to FX exposure, interest rates, and liquidity across multiple jurisdictions.
• Prepare treasury reports for senior management and ensure compliance with local and international regulations.
• Drive process improvements, implement treasury management systems, and enhance forecasting and financial planning accuracy.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related field (Master’s or CFA/ACCA preferred).
• 7–10+ years of experience in treasury or corporate finance, preferably in shipping, logistics or international trade.
• Strong knowledge of financial markets, risk‑management tools and advanced analytical abilities.
• High integrity, accountability and proven ability to lead cross‑functional teams.
