Host/Hostess – Guest Service

About the role

We are looking for a friendly and attentive Host/Hostess to join our team at Aloft Muscat. In this front‑of‑house position you will be the first point of contact for guests, ensuring a warm welcome and smooth seating experience.

Key responsibilities

• Greet guests, determine party size and seat them at clean, available tables.
• Pull out chairs, place menus, and ensure each setting includes a napkin, clean silverware and any other standard items.
• Guide guests through the dining area, assist with special‑needs seating and monitor table availability.
• Maintain cleanliness of work areas throughout the shift, following clean‑as‑you‑go procedures.
• Check menus for current, clean, and wrinkle‑free copies.
• Observe safety, service standards and guest well‑being, reporting any incidents to management.
• Adhere to uniform, appearance and company policies, including confidentiality and asset protection.
• Answer telephone calls using professional etiquette and support team goals.

Required profile

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• No prior related work experience required.
• No supervisory experience required.
• Ability to stand, sit or walk for extended periods and lift objects up to 10 lb.
