HR Business Partner - Retail (IKEA Oman)

About the role

The HR Business Partner acts as a trusted advisor to senior line management on all human resource matters, supporting business growth through HR strategies that build a performance-focused culture, meritocracy and diversity while complying with group HR policies. The role covers succession planning, learning and development and organizational change, and is based in Muscat.

Key responsibilities

• In liaison with the Business MD, GM HR and Group HR Director, create an HR strategy for the store and develop the annual HR plan, communicating plans and progress to the HR function and business units
• Induct and support new employees, develop succession and retention plans for key talent, and run performance management plans
• Work with the Group Training Department on training initiatives and identify training needs for high-potential staff
• Coach and advise senior line managers, measure and improve employee engagement, and act as a change agent
• Support a lean, multi-skilled workforce, facilitate business reorganization, and ensure compliance with localization policy and targets
• Report employee costs regularly, run annual manpower budgeting, manage the HR department budget and ensure adherence to financial systems
• Prepare action plans for sales leads and prospects, give performance feedback to senior management, lead a diverse team of sales staff and ensure staff selection, motivation and development

Required profile

• Degree in Human Resources, Psychology or Business Management
• CIPD qualification desirable
• At least five years of HR generalist experience
• Previous experience as an HR Business Partner
