Human Resources Generalist (Government Relations)

About the role

An experienced Government Relations Officer (GRO / HR) is sought to support operations in Oman. The role covers day-to-day HR administration, employee relations and all government-related procedures, ensuring full compliance with Omani labor laws and regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Government relations: handle interactions with government authorities and regulatory bodies, process and renew visas, labor permits, residency cards and other employee documents, and keep company licenses, registrations and statutory documents up to date.
• Monitor changes in labor laws and regulations and advise management; maintain compliance with localization requirements and workforce regulations.
• HR administration: keep employee documentation and HR databases accurate, coordinate onboarding, benefits, insurance, leave and payroll inputs, and guide employees and managers on HR policies.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field.
• 2 years or more of experience in HR and Government Relations within Oman.
• Strong knowledge of Omani Labor Law and government processes.
• Experience handling visas, labor permits and regulatory compliance.
• Strong communication skills in Arabic and English.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and HR systems.
